July: Wild Bloom and Sacred Release

Updated: Sep 13

Dear Readers,

July opens its arms with warmth and wild abundance - inviting us to step barefoot into the fields and forests, to gather what the land offers in this short, but very bountiful period of the year.

This is the sacred time for foraging Tansy, Wild Rose Petals, St. John’s Wort, Lady's Mantle and other flowers and wild herbs, to dry and save for warming and healing teas and infusions in the colder months of the year.

Bilberries and raspberries are ripening in July, and they are true gifts from the land. Forage and give thanks, and remember to let some of them be. Bilberries are important for the health and survival of birds and wild animals.

Full Moon in Capricorn

This July, the Full Moon in Capricorn brings a powerful moment of release, while the Sun is in cancer, reminding us to slow down and feel the undercurrents of our emotions. The Full Moon invites us to shed and release what no longer serves our lives and open our hearts to healing and love for the time to come.

A suggested Full Moon ritual for this months full moon on the 11th/12th: Create a ring of stones as your ritual circle (Earth), light Dragon’s Blood incense (Fire) for strength, courage and protection to help with a powerful release. When the circle is opened and you have grounded and centered yourself, ame aloud all you wish to release. See and know that it leaves the circle with the smoke from the Dragon's Blood. After completing the releasing ritual, end the session with a healing ritual for your heart, sipping a cup of infusion of wild rose petals, St. John’s Wort and honey—a tea to soothe, heal, and welcome love and peace into your life.

I wish you a magical July, Janne
